Lancôme latest edition their perfume range is Lancome La Vie est Belle Légère EDP which is a summer version to La Vie Est Belle. The bottle is identical to the original La Vie est Belle, a glass bottle finished with a chiffon ribbon.
The Légère version smells very similar to the original but it’s lighter and more summary but I would this perfume all year round. Most fragrances with vanilla notes tend to settle a very sweet, sometime sickly scent but, on me, the vanilla is almost undetectable. It settles to be musky and powdery, whereas the original was quite sweet and the patchouli was the strongest note. When it’s first sprayed, the initial smell was quite fruity but then it dries a lovely, powdery musk. It’s not as strong as the original but that’s not to say it’s very weak, it’s more musky and powdery. The longevity is really good, I got eight hours before it faded to nothing.
I think this is one of nicest fragrances launched this year and I think it will appeal to both those who were fans of the original and those who weren’t so keen because it’s similar to the original but it’s a lot lighter.
