I polka dots are quite easy but I just how it look! I used Barry M Gelly in Prickly Pear which is a lovely lavender, lilac shade and I used Models Own Snow White for the dots.
Since the Maybelline Baby Lips we’ve all been a bit crazy for lip balms in cute packaging. I was one of those people who were really overexcited about the Baby Lips and I wasn’t disappointed, I loved them and I’ve repurchased them. Now Barry M is latest to launch a tinted lip balm.
The packaging is similar to the Baby Lips in terms of the shape and the opening. I have to say I prefer the colours and the branding of the Barry M ones, I like how the colour of the writing corresponds with the shade of lip balm. Also, I prefer the smell of this one, I think it smells like a strawberry milkshake.
The centre of the lip balm is the moisturising core and around it is the colour, it’s similar to the Benefit Fake Up in that respect. This shade is a really sheer baby pink. I like this type of formula for during the day because it’s really easy and low maintenance. I think the darker shades have more colour payoff. I love this shade and the formula and I think Barry M’s onto a really winner with these and I can see myself buying more from the line.
I won’t say again how much I love the silk polishes but I really love them, I think these are going to be my favourite nail polishes of the year (but I have bought the new Gelly shades and I love those too!). This is Mist, it’s a really pretty baby blue shade with a lovely shimmer running through it. It dries semi matte but I just use a top coat to make the super glossy.
The Barry M Silk Polishes are one of my favourite beauty launches of the year. I’ve bought all of them and I can see them becoming all time favourite polishes. Heather is a really pretty pinky-lilac shade with a shimmer running through it.
Its no secret I love the Barry M nail polishes. The latest collection is absolutely amazing, I bought every colour in the range and I love all of them. This one is Meadow, its a beautiful minty green with a shimmer. These polishes dry semi-matte, I’m not a fan of the matte look so I used a top coat and it transformed to a super glossy finish. These are really easy to paint and they don’t go streaky like some shimmer polishes. Also, these dry super quick, quicker than any polish I’ve tried.
I love the range and I think they’ll perfect for Spring. Have you tried them? What do you think?
As we’re getting closer to February 14th, I thought I would post another Valentine inspired nail design. It’s quite easy to achieve, you’ll need a red nail polish and a nail art pen or a striping tool. I used two coats of Nails Inc. St James for the red base. Once the red polish was completely dry, I drew the heart and the scallop trim with the Barry M White Nail Art Pen, I think this is the easiest way to draw precise shapes. I really recommend the Barry M pens, the tip is a perfect shape and size and they don’t dry out instantly.

Over the past couple of days I’ve rediscovered my nail dotting tools. If you want to get into nail art, I can’t recommend dotting tools enough, they make it super easy to get a pretty pattern on your nails and I love how dots look on the nails. I don’t think much needs to be said about this design. I used Rimmel’s black nail polish, Model’s Own white polish and Barry M’s Berry Ice Cream for the lilac dots.
What do you think? Do you look dotty nail art?
If you feel like dawning some nail art for Valentine’s Day, here is a quick and relatively easy design. I used Barry M Gelly polish in Dragon Fruit, it’s a lovely bright, baby pink shade. I drew the love hearts on the nail using the Barry M Nail Art pen in white.
What do you think? Will you be wearing Valentine inspired nail art on February 14th?
