Laura Mercier Sheer Creme Colour in Golden Pink*

Laura Mercier Sheer Cheek colour golden pink cream 2014 summer collection shimmer

I used to have a Laura Mercier Sheer Crème Colour years ago and I really liked it but I lost it!

Golden Pink* is part of the 2014 Summer Collection. Like the name suggests the formula is sheer but I like that because it means it’s pretty fool proof and you don’t end up with too much colour. I would describe it as a cool toned pink with a golden shimmer. The shimmer means you could this as both a blusher and a highlighter. The shade reminds me of Benefit’s Sugarbomb but that’s a powder formula. I think this shade is perfect with pale skin because it looks like a very subtle, pretty flush of colour.

In terms of longevity I managed to get seven hours of wear before it started to fade. The formula is very easy to blend, it doesn’t set and become impossible to sheer out. It’s a true cream blusher, it doesn’t turn to a powder but it’s not a really wet formula like NYX cream blushes.

Have you tried this blusher? What do you think? Do you want to try it?

Bourjois Cream Blush in 01 Nude Velvet

Bourjois powder blushers are brilliant, they come in tons of colours and the quality can rival blushers triple the price, however, cream blushers were always missing from the range. I prefer cream blushes to powder because they are impossible to mess up and they look more delicate and pretty. The high street lacks good cream blushers but Bourjois has came along and made fantastic cream blushes.

I like peach blushers but I’m a little scared of them, I know peach looks really flattering on pale skin but a lot of peach blushers show up orange. The packaging is identical to the Little Round Pots, only slimmer and they close with a magnet and it has a mirror inside the lid. The cream to powder formula means they are incredibly easy to blend and the finish is a pretty, subtle flush of colour. I have super pale skin and this doesn’t look orange, like some peach blushers can, it’s lovely pale peach shade but if you want a stronger flush of colour, it can be layered. I think it’s a perfect summer shade.

One of the drawbacks of cream blushers is the longevity, some cream blushers do not last on the skin but these are really long-lasting, I’ve worn this one for over eight hours and the colour looked as good as it did when I first applied it.

Overall, I really love this, the quality is brilliant and colour and finish is just gorgeous and I’ll definitely be picking up 03.

Usual price is £7.99 but they are currently on offer for £6.99 in Boots http://www.boots.com/en/Bourjois-Little-Round-Pot-Cream-blush_1321762/
